Terms & Conditions

By registering for or attending the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2026 (“the Event”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“T&C”). The Event is organized by Sheera (“Organizer”).

1. Registration, Tickets, and Admission

1.1 Ticket Purchase

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are sold subject to availability, and the Organizer reserves the right to refuse admission or revoke a ticket if these T&C are breached.

1.2 Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds: Tickets are generally non-refundable.

Event Cancellation: Should the Event be cancelled for any reason, the Organizer will offer a full refund of the ticket price, excluding any processing fees. The Organizer is not responsible for any other costs incurred by the attendee (e.g., travel, accommodation).

Transfer: Tickets are not transferable.

1.3 On-site Requirements

Attendees must present valid photo identification (e.g., passport or national ID) along with their electronic ticket to receive their official event badge. Badges must always be worn while within the venue.

2. Event Conduct and Intellectual Property

2.1 Code of Conduct (CoC)

All attendees must adhere strictly to the SEF Code of Conduct (as detailed in the FAQ document). Any behaviour deemed disruptive, harassing, discriminatory, or unlawful by the Organizer will result in immediate expulsion from the Event without a refund.

2.2 Filming and Recording

Personal Use: Attendees may take photographs and short video clips (max 60 seconds) for personal social media use.

Commercial Use: Any commercial use, professional filming, recording of entire sessions, or broadcasting of presentations is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of the Organizer.

Speaker Content: Attendees must respect the Intellectual Property (IP) of all speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. Content presented at the Event is the property of the presenter and may not be reproduced or distributed.

2.3 Attendee IP

The Organizer claims no ownership of the intellectual property, business ideas, or concepts shared by attendees or start-ups during pitch competitions, networking sessions, or workshops. However, by participating, you acknowledge that other attendees may be exposed to your ideas. The Organizer is not responsible for the protection of unpatented or uncopyrighted ideas shared at the Event.

3. Liability and Disclaimers

3.1 Limitation of Liability

The Organizer is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by attendees, including personal property damage or theft, while attending the Event, except where such liability is mandated by law.

3.2 Program Changes

The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Event program, including the schedule, speakers, topics, and venue location, at any time without prior notice. No refunds will be issued for speaker or session changes.

3.3 AI Matchmaking and Networking Disclaimer

The Event app’s AI Matchmaking feature is provided as a tool to facilitate connections. The Organizer does not endorse, guarantee, or vet the professional quality, investment status, or intentions of any individual connected through this feature. Attendees are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any formal agreement or sharing sensitive information with any contact made at the Event.

4. Consent to Use Likeness

By attending the Event, you grant the Organizer permission to use your name, photograph, video, and likeness captured in photographs or video recordings during the Event for promotional and documentation purposes in perpetuity, without any compensation.

5. Governing Law

These T&C shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah and the Federal Laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah.
